• He has been working on Vaginal Hysterectomy by Electrosurgery since 1997, has published many articles on Vaginal hysterectomy in National & International Journals.
• Had described “Purohit Technique of Vaginal Hysterectomy : A New Approach” in (BJOG) British Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in December 2003.
• Dr. Purohit has described Posterioanterior approach to avoid bladder injury during Vaginal Hysterectomy in cases with previous CS, Journal of Gynecologic Surgery 2013.
• Presently, he is the Director of Purohit General Hospital, Bargarh and serving valued women of western Odisha and neighboring Chhattisgarh of India.
• In his training institution, Dr. Purohit has trained over 350 Gynaecologic surgeons from National & International level on “Vaginal Hysterectomy by Electro surgery” ( Purohit Technique).
