Purohit General Hospital was started by Dr Ramkrishna Purohit on Dt 11.2. 1992 at Bargarh. It's being the first best private hospital started in Bargarh, to provide personal care in medical service to the people of the town.

Bargarh is situated in the western part of Odisha about 225 Kms from Raipur and 350 Kms from Bhubaneswar. Bargarh town is surrounded by green paddy fields. Bargarh district is famous for rice production, and Sambalpuri cloth. Peace loving people live here in this town. It has low pollution.

  • He has been working on Vaginal Hysterectomy by Electrosurgery since 1997, has published many articles on Vaginal hysterectomy in National & International Journals.
  • Had described "Purohit Technique of Vaginal Hysterectomy : A New Approch" in (BJOG) British Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in December 2003.
  • Presently, he is the Director of Purohit General Hospital, Bargarh and serving valued women of western Odisha and beighboring Chhattisgarh of India.
  • In his training institution, Dr. Purohit Has trained over 160 Gynaecologic surgeons from National & International level on "Vaginal Hysterectomy by Electro surgery" (Purohit Technique).
  • Had conducted numerous workshops at National & International levels.
