Internal medicine deals with prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult disease. We provide almost priority to indoor and outdoor patients supported by ICU, emergency care unit for comprehensive care to all critically sick patients.
The department of Medicine initially covered all specialities till super-specialities like Gastroenterology and Nephrology were created, to which Neurology was added and are now working as full fledged departments. The department continues to have specialities such as Oncology, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and Endocrinology. It has consultants who are capable of diagnosing and treating complicated medical problem in the fields of diabetes and endocrinology, rheumatology, pulmonology, medical oncology, infectious diseases, HIV and AIDS and primary immunological disorders.

- Emergency Medical Care:Facility from casualty to the intensive care is available for diagnosis and management of medical emergencies. The physician and his/her team are the first to attend on such patients.
- Routine Medical Care:Beside routine examination and diagnosis of diseases followed by investigation and treatment, all types of fever and infections, are also managed by the department. Specialized tests, use of rapid bacterial culture and sensitivity techniques, PCR and other investigation modalities provides the best quality support for these.
- Rheumatology Clinic:The hospital offers efficient facilities for diagnosis and treatment of all types of arthritis, including new biologic agents by highly qualified and experienced Rheumatologists.
